What are WCAG normal and large text standards?

Under WCAG guidelines, Normal text is defined as anything below 18pt (24px) or 14pt (18.67px) bold, whereas Large text is anything at or above those thresholds.

What contrast ratios are required to pass?

To pass WCAG AA, you need a ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. For the stricter AAA level, you need 7:1 for normal and 4.5:1 for large text.

Why is color contrast accessibility important?

Good color contrast ensures that your website can be easily read by users with moderate low vision, color blindness, or situational impairments (like reading in bright sunlight).
